Weather Criteria

Safety is always our number one priority, and weather conditions play the largest role in hot air balloon safety. Surface winds should not exceed 7 m.p.h. at launch, and there can be no rain activity, cloud ceilings below 500 feet, or fog moving into the flying area. Our lead pilot, Dave Gardner, makes the final decision whether to fly according to Federal Aviation Administration Regulations.
