“The Adventure”
Your hot air balloon ride includes all ground transportation to and from the launching and landing sites aboard our vehicle, an approximately one-hour flight, a traditional champagne toast, and a full sit-down breakfast at a local restaurant: $275 per adult (maximum of 4 people).
Weight Restrictions: Though we have some flexibility, combined passenger weight ideally should not exceed 375 lbs. total (170 kg/26.8 stones) per couple or 750 lbs. (340 kg/53.6 stones) per group of 4.
*If your group of two exceeds 400 lbs., you will need to reserve a private Sweetheart Flight due to manufacturer weight limitations. We apologize for any inconvenience.
“The Sweetheart (Private) Flight”
Your private hot air balloon flight includes everything in the standard Adventure Package (transportation, champagne, and breakfast) AND guarantees you will be the only two passengers flying with the pilot. You’ll have the entire balloon to yourselves!
$850 per couple. Additional passengers $275 per person.
Children
Between 6 and 10 years old: $195 per child.
*We strongly recommend you consider your toddler, preschool, or kindergarten child’s tolerance for loud noises, length of attention span (the flight is approximately one hour), and ability to see over the side of the balloon’s basket (48″) before you make a reservation. Children over the age of 7 tend to do best in the balloon. Infants can be accommodated if they are secured in a carrier worn on the body.
Special Accommodations
Groups of 5 and More: We can occasionally accommodate larger groups, depending on area pilot availability. Please note there will be an additional $250 per extra balloon pilot to accommodate the size of your group.
Pregnancy: If you or anyone in your group is pregnant, we highly recommend you speak to your doctor before you book a hot air balloon flight.
Physical Limitations: We commonly fly passengers with physical limitations with no issues. However, please call office in advance to discuss your situation so we can better serve you.

Private Events/Tethers
While our primary focus is providing daily hot air balloon sunrise flights to passengers, we occasionally can accommodate a private event. Pricing is as follows:
$3,000 for 1-2 hours (minimum)
$750 each additional hour
$250 travel fee (non-refundable)
$250 per pre-event day site visit
Exceptions for Tether Requests:
*If we arrive at the venue and are unable to tether the balloon at your event due to weather concerns, you will not be charged anything except the non-refundable travel fee plus the pre-event site visit fee (if applicable).
*If we arrive at the venue and make a concerted effort to set up the balloon but are unable due to weather concerns, you will be charged a pro-rated amount plus the non-refundable travel fee and pre-event site visit fee (if applicable).

Payment
No deposit is required for all reservations. Only your valid credit card information is required to confirm your hot air balloon reservation. We will not charge the card until the day of the flight or event. You may also pay in cash after the flight for a small discount.
All major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover) and cash are accepted.

Cancellation Policy & Reservation Changes
Last-minute changes or cancellations affect our schedule as well as other passengers’ plans. Therefore, we have a generous cancellation policy to protect everyone in case plans happen to change.
- Cancellations or changes to your hot air balloon reservation made more than 72 hours prior to the meeting time are permitted without penalty.
- Cancellations within 72 hours of the meeting time will result in a $75.00 charge to the credit card on hold, or the forfeiture of your gift certificate.
- No-Show Policy: Failing to show up or arriving late enough to miss the hot air balloon flight is considered a “no-show.” Should you or anyone in your group fail to show up for your hot air balloon flight at the scheduled meeting time or cancel less than 24 hours in advance of our meeting time, the full flight fare will still be due. Sorry, no exceptions. We are reserving space just for you in the balloon, which means we are expecting you to be there. Please call us in advance if you cannot make your flight.
- Scheduled passengers who fail to respond to the pilot after 10:00 PM before the flight and after repeated attempts to reach them by phone will be assessed the full amount of their quoted price. PLEASE CALL US!
- All gift certificate sales are non-refundable.
Rescheduling Your Flight
We sincerely apologize if your hot air balloon flight was cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions. If you would like to reschedule, please call our office so we can review our availability with you. Please be aware that all reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee immediate rescheduling after a hot air balloon flight is canceled. Due to popular demand, we are often booked out several weeks or months in advance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
*HOT AIR BALLOONING IS AN COMPLETELY WEATHER DEPENDENT ACTIVITY.*
We will do everything we can to insure your hot air balloon flight experience. However, if the weather is too unsafe to fly at any time (even up to the morning of your flight), we will cancel the flight at no cost to you. Aviation weather reports are issued every evening. We will make our determination regarding your hot air balloon flight the night before your flight (normally between 8:00-8:30 p.m.) and then call you to give you the update. If we need to cancel the flight, we will work with you as best we possibly can to reschedule. It is our goal to make your dreams come true!
However, safety is always number one.
Big Red Balloon reserves the right to cancel any hot air balloon flight at any time in order to remain in compliance with all FAA regulations and, more importantly, to keep all our passengers and crew safe. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
